Michael Louis

Michael Louis studied Law and completed post graduate courses at Harvard University’s J.F. Kennedy School in Privatisation and Regulatory Reform. His experience is varied from Property Executive for some of the largest Corporate Property Companies in South Africa, to Media, Agriculture, Education and Politics. At the start of the “Mandela Era” in 1994, he encountered a spiritual calling to Politics and became a Member of Parliament in the Western Cape Parliament. He was a founding member of the African Christian Democratic Party in South Africa and served as Chairman for 6 years. He also fulfilled a Cabinet position in Government with the Portfolios of Public Works, Asset Management and Development Planning. During this time, he was also privileged to represent his party in drafting the National and Provincial Constitutions. He is also recognised as the first Member of Parliament from Lebanese descent. Having won the Team Leadership Award at the J.F. Kennedy School, Michael has also been nominated for numerous leadership awards including an Honorary Doctorate from Nyack University in New York with Steve Forbes of Forbes Magazine. Michael is co-founder and chair of both the Independent Candidates Association (ICA) and the One South Africa Movement (OSA).
Afrika Mhlophe is a gifted teacher of the Bible who ministers in various platforms in South Africa and abroad. He has recently obtained a Bachelor in Theology (South African Theological Seminary) and is the acclaimed author of three books: Christianity and the Veneration of Ancestors (2013), Freed by God Imprisoned by Culture (2015), and an exceptional textbook on leadership in the African context called A Passion for Position (2018). He serves as Visionary Elder of Good News Community Church in Nelson Mandela Bay, is a sought-after public speaker and has been instrumental in the planting of various other churches. Afrika regularly contributes to public discourse in South Africa and beyond through his television programmes, public speaking, media articles and social media commentary.

Zarina Prasadh has over 20 years experience in the legal field as a practicing Attorney, Advisor to Ministers of State, Trustee and independent Board Director. She was admitted as a non-practising Advocate in South Africa in 2015. She has held positions as Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary in the public sphere and has extensive experience in public sector governance. She is also trained in negotiation, arbitration (CIArb) and international mediation (CEDR) and has served as lead trainer for the Law Society in the area of appropriate dispute resolution.

Gareth Stead is the former Senior Pastor of Every Nation Cape Town. He is a seasoned church leader, strategic thinker, nation builder, executive coach and trainer. He is a proven teacher, equipper and activator of people. He is passionate about biblical principles for governance being applied in private and public sectors especially in Africa. With a background in finance and actuarial work in the private sector, he went into full-time church leadership in 1998 and over the years has had the privilege of pastoring CEO’s, judges, politicians and leaders in all sectors of society. He is engaged in public advocacy to see a biblical worldview inform public policy and discourse. His academic background includes: Citizen Education 101 at GoStrategic (2016), School of Church Planting and Pastoral Ministry at Every Nation Ministries (2005), Overview of Reformed Theology with Dr Jonathan N. Gerstner (2001), School of Business and Biblical Economics with Dennis Peacocke (1997-1998), Biblical Christian Leadership and Biblical Analysis of Economics with Dr Glen Martin from Indiana-Wesleyan University (1997), Certificate in Finance and Investments, Institute of Actuaries (London) (1992-1995), Top of Class in BSc (Hons) in Statistics & Actuarial Science, University of Cape Town (1988-1991). He also serves as Chairperson of the Governing Body of the Kings School (Goodwood).
